Where do the discovery sessions take place?

The sessions takes place through Zoom. A link to access each session will be sent out by the student's mentor the morning of each session. Once you click on the link, you will be re-directed to Zoom.

How much does the retreat cost to participate?

This retreat is free to participate as a direct result of the our generous donors and supporters.

How do you engage parents with a student's ForeverU experience?

At ForeverU, we believe that helping a student thrive in our program is a team effort. That's why each month we provide our parents with a newsletter that explains what their child is learning in our program and practical action steps they can take as a parent to keep the momentum going at home. Additionally, we have plenty of other mental health-related resources and tools available to our parental network as needed.

Do I need any materials or supplies to participate?

Yes.​ All digital program materials will be sent out via text the morning of each session. These can be downloaded and printed for your convenience and are required to participate.

How do I ensure I have a quality online experience at each session?

Make sure that you have a strong internet connection, use the Google Chrome web browser, and keep yourself muted during the sessions unless called upon. But most importantly, take responsibility for your own learning and look at this as an opportunity to invest into yourself.

What if I'm not enjoying my mentor or assigned community group?

If you aren't enjoying your ForeverU experience, please notify us. We'd be more than happy to try finding you a new mentor or community group that meets your needs.

Will I have access to my mentor outside of our online sessions?

Yes. All students are required to schedule a one on one session with their assigned mentor at least once per month. This is a critical component to your ForeverU experience.

Is attendance required at all discovery and coaching sessions?

If you are enrolled into a community group, you can't miss more than (3) discovery sessions and you are are required to meet with your mentor at least once per month. If you do not follow these expectations, you will lose access to "Camp Apex".

How many students participate in each community group?

Each community group consists of no more than 6 students.​

What happens at the end of the 6 months?

At the end of the program, you will be invited to continue your ForeverU journey by attending "Camp Apex" that take place during the winter and summer months.

You're telling me I can become a Peer Mentor at the end of the 6 months?

If you enjoyed your 6 months in Ascend, you are more than welcome to repeat the mentorship experience and request another community group or mentor.

​

However, once you complete this program, you are eligible to enroll into ForeverU as a "Peer Mentor".  As a Peer Mentor, you will be assigned a new mentor and community group, and serve as a co-leader for the community. The purpose of being a peer mentor is to take the knowledge you've gained and now share your insight with fellow students in the program.
